Calf Stretch Elbows Against Wall
How to perform
- 01Stand facing a wall from a couple feet away.
- 02Lean against the wall, placing your weight on your forearms.
- 03Attempt to keep your heels on the ground. Hold for 10-20 seconds. You may move further or closer the wall, making it more or less difficult, respectively.
Form cues
- Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.
Common mistakes
- Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
- Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
- Bouncing into the stretch instead of holding it.
