Chair Leg Extended Stretch

How to perform

  1. 01Sit upright in a chair and grip the seat on the sides.
  2. 02Raise one leg, extending the knee, flexing the ankle as you do so.
  3. 03Slowly move that leg outward as far as you can, and then back to the center and down.
  4. 04Repeat for your other leg.

Form cues

  • Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.

Common mistakes

  • Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
  • Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
  • Bouncing into the stretch instead of holding it.
