Chest Stretch on Stability Ball

How to perform

  1. 01Get on your hands and knees next to an exercise ball.
  2. 02Place your elbows on top of the ball, keeping your arm out to your side. This will be your starting position.
  3. 03Lower your torso towards the floor, keeping your elbow on top of the ball. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, and repeat with the other arm.

Form cues

  • Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.

Common mistakes

  • Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
  • Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
  • Bouncing into the stretch instead of holding it.
