Elbow to Knee
How to perform
- 01Lie on the floor, crossing your right leg across your bent left knee. Clasp your hands behind your head, beginning with your shoulder blades on the ground. This will be your starting position.
- 02Perform the motion by flexing the spine and rotating your torso to bring the left elbow to the right knee.
- 03Return to the starting position and repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions before switching sides.
Form cues
- Brace your core before the first rep and keep it braced.
- Lead with the elbows and finish by squeezing the target muscle.
- Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.
Common mistakes
- Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
- Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
- Adding weight before the movement pattern is clean.
