Forward Drag with Press

How to perform

  1. 01Attach a dual handled chain or rope attachment to the sled. You should be facing away from the sled, holding a handle in each hand.
  2. 02Begin the movement by moving forward for one step. Leaning forward, extend through the legs and hips to move, pausing with each step to extend through the elbows, pressing your hands forward. Step forward until you return to the start position prepared to press.

Form cues

  • Brace your core before the first rep and keep it braced.
  • Drive through the full range — do not cut the lockout short.
  • Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.

Common mistakes

  • Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
  • Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
  • Adding weight before the movement pattern is clean.
