Side to Side Box Shuffle
How to perform
- 01Stand to one side of the box with your left foot resting on the middle of it.
- 02To begin, jump up and over to the other side of the box, landing with your right foot on top of the box and your left foot on the floor. Swing your arms to aid your movement.
- 03Continue shuffling back and forth across the box.
Form cues
- Brace your core before the first rep and keep it braced.
- Drive through the full range — do not cut the lockout short.
- Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.
Common mistakes
- Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
- Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
- Adding weight before the movement pattern is clean.
