Suspended Fallout
How to perform
- 01Adjust the straps so the handles are at an appropriate height, below waist level.
- 02Begin standing and grasping the handles. Lean into the straps, moving to an incline push-up position. This will be your starting position.
- 03Keeping your arms straight, lean further into the suspension straps, bringing your body closer to the ground, allowing your shoulders to extend, raising your arms up and over your head.
- 04Maintain a neutral spine and keep the rest of your body straight, your shoulders being the only joints allowed to move.
- 05Pause during the peak contraction, and then return to the starting position.
Form cues
- Lead with the elbows and finish by squeezing the target muscle.
- Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.
Common mistakes
- Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
- Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
