Chair Lower Back Stretch
How to perform
- 01Sit upright on a chair.
- 02Bend to one side with your arm over your head. You can hold onto the chair with your free hand.
- 03Hold for 10 seconds, and repeat for your other side.
Form cues
- Control the lowering phase — that is where most of the growth stimulus lives.
Common mistakes
- Using momentum instead of the target muscle.
- Cutting the range of motion short to add load.
- Bouncing into the stretch instead of holding it.
